Odisha’s beautiful Gandhamardan hill range, which lies between Balangir and Bargarh districts, has been declared a Biodiversity Heritage Site by the state government. This is the third such site in Odisha, the other two being Mahendragiri Hills and Mandsaru Gorge located in Gajapati and Kandhamal districts respectively. As a treasure trove of medicinal plants, this biodiversity heritage site is known as the Ayurvedic paradise of Odisha.

‘Ironman’ and IPS officer Krishan Prakash achieved another milestone by becoming the first person to swim from the Gateway of India (located on Chhatrapati Shivaji Marg in South Mumbai) to the famous Elephanta Caves (located in Elephanta Island in Mumbai Harbour). This task was completed by Krishna Prakash, posted as Inspector General of Police in the VIP Security Department in Mumbai, as an adventurous sea swimming expedition on 27 March. He covered the distance of 16.20 kilometers in five hours and 26 minutes. The campaign was dedicated to the campaign “Drowning Prevention Awareness”.

For the first time in the country, the Punjab and Haryana High Court used Artificial Intelligence based ChatGPT (ChatGPT) during the hearing of the bail plea in the murder case on March 27. Justice Anoop Chitkara used ChatGPT to assess the global outlook on bail in a murder case. Thereafter, the court refused the bail and dismissed the petition.
