ब्राजील के फोर्टालेजा की रहने वाली आठ वर्षीय निकोल ओलिवेरा दुनिया की सबसे युवा एस्ट्रोनोमर बन गई हैं. ओलिवेरा ने अमेरिकी स्पेस एजेंसी NASA से जुड़े एस्टेरॉयड ढूंढने के प्रोग्राम में हिस्सा लिया. युवा एस्ट्रोनोमर के परिवार के मुताबिक अभी तक ओलिवेरा ने 18 स्पेस रॉक को ढूंढ निकाला है बहुत ही कम उम्र से ही ओलिवेरा को स्पेस में दिलचस्पी थी और वो चलना सीखने के दौरान ही तारों को देखकर अपनी बांहें फैला देती थीं.

Eight-year-old Nicole Oliveira, a resident of Fortaleza, Brazil, has become the world’s youngest astronomer. Oliveira took part in the asteroid finding program associated with the US space agency NASA. According to the young astronomer’s family, so far, Oliveira has found 18 space rocks.

Now a storm named ‘Shaheen’ is about to knock on the Gujarat and Maharashtra coast of India, the name of this storm has been given by Qatar. This is the second storm to hit the Arabian Sea this year after Taukata. This storm will affect the western states of India.

The 220-year-old Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), supplying arms, ammunition and clothing to armed forces in India, stands dissolved from October 1. The successor organisation of OFB, the Ordnance Directorate (Co-ordination and Services) has got its first Director-General. A recipient of the Ayudh Ratna Award ER Sheikh assumed charge as first Director-General of the Ordnance Directorate. Thursday, September 30 is the last day of the Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) in existence.

भारत का 8वां संस्करण – श्रीलंका संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास ‘मित्र शक्ति’ इस साल 4 से 15 अक्टूबर तक श्रीलंका में आयोजित किया जाएगा। श्रीलंकाई सेना की एक बटालियन के साथ भारतीय सेना के 120 जवानों की एक सभी शस्त्र दल अभ्यास में भाग लेंगे। रक्षा मंत्रालय ने कहा, अभ्यास का उद्देश्य दोनों देशों की सेनाओं के बीच घनिष्ठ संबंधों को बढ़ावा देना और अंतर-संचालन को बढ़ाना और आतंकवाद विरोधी और आतंकवाद विरोधी अभियानों में सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं को साझा करना है।

The 8th Edition of India – Sri Lanka Joint Military Exercise ‘Mitra Shakti’ will be conducted in Sri Lanka from 4th to 15th of October this year. An all arms contingent of 120 personnel of the Indian Army will participate in the exercise along with a battalion of the Sri Lankan Army. Defence Ministry said, the aim of the exercise is to promote close relations between Armies of both countries and enhance inter-operability and sharing best practices in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations.
