डेविस कप 2021 को रूसी टेनिस महासंघ ने मैड्रिड में डेविस कप फाइनल में क्रोएशिया पर 2-0 की बढ़त से जीता था। मेदवेदेव ने दूसरे एकल मैच में मारिन सिलिक को हराकर रूस को क्रोएशिया पर 2-0 की अजेय बढ़त दिलाई और 2006 के बाद से उसका पहला डेविस कप खिताब जीता। 2005 और 2018 में जीत के बाद क्रोएशिया भी अपने तीसरे खिताब की मांग कर रहा था। आंद्रेई रूबलेव को मोस्ट वैल्यूएबल प्लेयर चुना गया। अंतरराष्ट्रीय खेल में चल रहे डोपिंग निलंबन के बीच प्रतियोगिता में रूसी टीम को आधिकारिक तौर पर आरटीएफ (रूसी टेनिस महासंघ) कहा जा रहा है।

Davis Cup 2021 was won by the Russian Tennis Federation with a 2-0 lead over Croatia in the Davis Cup final in Madrid. Medvedev defeated Marin Cilic in the second singles match to give Russia an unassailable 2–0 lead over Croatia and win their first Davis Cup title since 2006. Croatia were also seeking their third title after victories in 2005 and 2018. Andrei Rublev was voted Most Valuable Player. The Russian team, officially called the RTF (Russian Tennis Federation), competed in the midst of an ongoing doping suspension in international sport.

भारत और मालदीव के बीच अभ्यास EKUVERIN-21 का 11 वां संस्करण, मालदीव के कदधू द्वीप में आयोजित किया गया। धिवेही भाषा में एकुवेरिन का अर्थ “मित्र” है। यह एक इंडो-आर्यन भाषा है। यह भारत, लक्षद्वीप और मालदीव में बोली जाती है। यह अभ्यास दोनों देशों के सशस्त्र बलों के बीच जमीन और समुद्र दोनों पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय आतंकवाद को समझने, आतंकवाद विरोधी और आतंकवाद विरोधी अभियानों का संचालन करने और सर्वोत्तम सैन्य प्रथाओं और अनुभवों को साझा करने के मामले में तालमेल और अंतर-संचालन को बढ़ाता है।

The 11th edition of Exercise EKUVERIN-21 between India and Maldives was held at Kadadhoo Island, Maldives. Ekuverin means “friend” in Dhivehi language. It is an Indo-Aryan language. It is spoken in India, Lakshadweep and Maldives. The exercise enhances synergy and interoperability between the armed forces of the two countries both on land and at sea in terms of understanding international terrorism, conducting counter-terrorism and counter-terrorism operations and sharing of best military practices and experiences.

It is observed on 9 December globally to raise awareness on the importance of a corruption-free society. The day also provides us an opportunity to recommit to collective action in preventing and addressing corruption.

भारत की पहली महिला मनोचिकित्सक और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संस्थान की सबसे लंबे समय तक सेवा देने वाली प्रमुख पद्म भूषण डॉ. मंबलिकलातिल शारदा मेनन का निधन हो गया है। उनका जन्म कर्नाटक के मंगलुरु में एक मलयाली परिवार में हुआ था। उन्हें 1992 में सामाजिक कार्यों के लिए पद्म भूषण से सम्मानित किया गया था।

India’s first female psychiatrist and the longest-serving head of the Institute of Mental Health Padma Bhushan Dr. Mambliclatil Sharda Menon has passed away. He was born in Mangaluru, Karnataka in a Malayali family. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1992 for social work.

केंद्रीय विदेश मंत्री (ईएएम) सुब्रह्मण्यम जयशंकर ने 4-5 दिसंबर, 2021 को 5वें हिंद महासागर सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए अबू धाबी, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) का दौरा किया है। सम्मेलन का विषय ‘हिंद महासागर: पारिस्थितिकी, अर्थव्यवस्था, महामारी’ था। सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता श्रीलंका के राष्ट्रपति, गोतबाया राजपक्षे और उपाध्यक्ष एस जयशंकर, विवियन बालकृष्णन , सैय्यद बद्र बिन हमद बिन हमद अल बुसैदी हैं।

The Union Minister of External Affairs (EAM) Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has visited Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend the 5th Indian Ocean Summit on December 4-5, 2021. The theme of the conference was ‘Indian Ocean: Ecology, Economy, Epidemic’. The conference is presided over by the President of Sri Lanka, Gotabaya Rajapaksa, and Vice Presidents S Jaishankar, Vivian Balakrishnan, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडियन चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री ने घोषणा की कि हिंदुस्तान यूनिलीवर लिमिटेड के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक संजीव मेहता को FICCI के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया जाएगा। मेहता, वर्तमान में फिक्की के वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष, मीडिया उद्योग के दिग्गज उदय शंकर का स्थान लेंगे। मेहता यूनिलीवर दक्षिण एशिया (भारत, पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश, श्रीलंका और नेपाल) के अध्यक्ष भी हैं, और ‘यूनिलीवर लीडरशिप एक्जीक्यूटिव’ के सदस्य हैं जो यूनिलीवर का वैश्विक कार्यकारी बोर्ड है। 

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry announced that Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited will be appointed as the Chairman of FICCI. Mehta, currently senior vice president at FICCI, will replace media industry veteran Uday Shankar. Mehta is also the President of Unilever South Asia (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal), and a member of the ‘Unilever Leadership Executive’ which is Unilever’s global executive board.

पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (पीएनबी) ने पीएनबी प्राइड-सीआरएमडी मॉड्यूल टूल लॉन्च किया, जो विशेष उल्लेख खाते (एसएमए) उधारकर्ताओं की निगरानी और प्रभावी ढंग से पालन करने के लिए अलग-अलग कर्मचारियों के लिए एक एंड्रॉइड-आधारित एप्लिकेशन है। प्राइड-सीआरएमडी मॉड्यूल में बिल्ट-इन टॉकबैक सॉफ्टवेयर है जो नेत्रहीनों को सिस्टम को स्वतंत्र रूप से एक्सेस करने और अपने फोन पर टैप करके ग्राहकों के साथ बातचीत करने की अनुमति देता है।

Punjab National Bank (PNB) launched PNB Pride-CRMD module tool, an Android-based application for differently-abled employees to monitor and effectively follow up on Special Mention Account (SMA) borrowers. The Pride-CRMD module has built-in TalkBack software that allows the visually impaired to access the system independently and interact with customers by tapping on their phones.

डेनमार्क के विक्टर ऐक्सल्सन और चीन की ताइपे की ताइ ज़ू-यिंग को बैडमिंटन वर्ल्ड फेडरेशन द्वारा क्रमशः वर्ष 2021 का पुरुष और महिला खिलाड़ी चुना गया। यह 2020 के ऑल इंग्लैंड चैंपियन – विक्टर ऐक्सल्सन और ताइ ज़ू-यिंग दोनों के लिए इस श्रेणी में पहला सीज़न-एंडिंग अवार्ड था। विक्टर ऐक्सल्सन ओलंपिक चैंपियन हैं और ताइ ज़ू-यिंग टोक्यो गेम्स, रजत पदक विजेता हैं। विक्टर ऐक्सल्सन को फरवरी 2020 में बार्सिलोना स्पेन मास्टर्स से शुरू होने वाले उनके असाधारण रन के लिए पुरस्कृत किया गया।

Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen and Taipei’s Tai Tzu-Ying of China were named the men’s and women’s players of the year 2021 respectively by the Badminton World Federation. It was the first season-ending award in this category for both the 2020 All England Champions – Viktor Axelsen and Tai Tzu-ying. Viktor Axelsen is the Olympic champion and Tai Tzu-ying is the Tokyo Games silver medalist. Viktor Axelsen was rewarded for his exceptional run starting at the Barcelona Spain Masters in February 2020.
