Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan became the youngest bowler to take 400 T20 wickets during his team’s crucial Super 12 encounter against New Zealand in Dubai. Martin Guptill became the 400th victim of Rashid in T20 cricket. Rashid joined an elite list of cricketers as he took his 400th wicket in the New Zealand vs Afghanistan T20 World Cup game. He is the fourth bowler after Dwayne Bravo (553), Sunil Narine (425) and Imran Tahir (420) to enter the 400 club.

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी की अध्‍यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने 15 नवंबर को जनजातीय गौरव दिवस के रूप में घोषित करने को मंजूरी दे दी है। 15 नवंबर को इसलिए चुना गया है क्योंकि यह तारीख श्री बिरसा मुंडा की जयंती है, जिन्हें देश भर के आदिवासी समुदायों द्वारा भगवान (गॉड) के रूप में सम्मानित किया जाता है।

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has given its approval to declare 15th November as Tribal Pride Day. November 15 has been chosen because this date is the birth anniversary of Shri Birsa Munda, who is revered as Bhagwan (God) by tribal communities across the country.

The United States of America (USA) has joined the International Solar Alliance as a member country. The US is now the 101st country to sign the framework agreement of the ISA. The framework agreement was formally signed by John Kerry, the US special presidential envoy for climate, at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow. It shows that nations around the world are recognizing the economic and climate mitigation value of solar as well as the potential of this energy source as a catalyst for the global energy transition.

COP26 के साथ-साथ जर्मनवाच द्वारा जारी वैश्विक जलवायु परिवर्तन प्रदर्शन सूचकांक 2022 में भारत को 10वें स्थान पर रखा गया है। 2020 में भी भारत 10वें स्थान पर था। भारत ने लगातार तीसरे वर्ष उच्च जलवायु प्रदर्शन के साथ शीर्ष 10 सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन करने वाले देशों के रूप में अपना स्थान बरकरार रखा है।

India has been ranked 10th in the Global Climate Change Performance Index 2022 released by Germanwatch along with COP26. In 2020 also India was ranked 10th. India has retained its position as the top 10 best performing countries with high climate performance for the third year in a row.

वाइस एडमिरल आर हरि कुमार को भारत सरकार द्वारा नौसेना स्टाफ के अगले प्रमुख के रूप में नामित किया गया है। वह वर्तमान में पश्चिमी नौसेना कमान के फ्लैग ऑफिसर कमांडिंग-इन-चीफ के पद पर तैनात हैं। वह 30 नवंबर, 2021 से नई भूमिका निभाएंगे। वह नौसेना प्रमुख, एडमिरल करमबीर सिंह का स्थान लेंगे, जो 30 नवंबर, 2021 को अपना कार्यकाल पूरा करेंगे।

Vice Admiral R Hari Kumar has been named as the next Chief of Naval Staff by the Government of India. He is currently posted as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command. He will assume the new role from November 30, 2021. He will replace the Navy Chief, Admiral Karambir Singh, who will complete his term on November 30, 2021.

The Punjab Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, approved the ‘Punjab Tissue Culture Based Seed Potato Rules-2021’ to develop Punjab as a Standard Potato Seed Centre. With this decision, Punjab has become the first Indian state to facilitate tissue culture-based certification, which will develop the Jalandhar-Kapurthala belt of Punjab as an export hub for potatoes. The cabinet also approved the introduction of ‘Punjab Horticulture Nursery Bill-2021’ by amending the ‘Punjab Fruit Nursery Act-1961’.

यह भारत के पहले शिक्षा मंत्री मौलाना अबुल कलाम आजाद की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में प्रतिवर्ष 11 नवंबर को मनाया जाता है। उन्होंने 1947 से 1958 तक स्वतंत्र भारत के पहले शिक्षा मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया।

It is observed on 11 November annually to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He served as the first education minister of independent India from 1947 to 1958.

Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, is one of 49 cities across the world selected to be included in UNESCO’s Network of Creative Cities (UCCN). Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the inclusion as a “fitting recognition” for the vibrant cultural ethos of the old city. It has been designated as a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Arts.

China launched the Shenzhou-13 spacecraft on October 16, sending three astronauts on a six-month mission to the under-construction space station, which was expected to be ready by next year. Wang Yuping became the first Chinese female astronaut to walk in space as she walked off the under-construction space station and participated in extracurricular activities with her male colleague Zhai Zhigang for more than six hours. Both moved out of the space station core module called Tianhe and spent 6.5 hours in spacewalks initially.

Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the final. With this win, Djokovic will remain at the ATP World No. 1 rank for the seventh year in a row.

The Logistics Ease Across Different States 2021 Index was recently published by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. This is the third edition of the index. In the index, Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab emerged as the best performing states in terms of material mobility and efficiency of the logistics chain. This index provides ranking of states on the basis of logistics infrastructure. Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab are the best performing states (top 3 positions respectively) with Tamil Nadu (4th) and Maharashtra (5th) in the top-5 slot.
