• भारत हेवी इलेक्ट्रिकल्स लिमिटेड (भेल) अनुसंधान एवं विकास केंद्र, हैदराबाद में भारत के पहले स्वदेशी रूप से डिजाइन किए गए उच्च राख कोयला गैसीकरण आधारित मेथनॉल उत्पादन संयंत्र का उद्घाटन किया गया। परियोजना को विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग द्वारा वित्त पोषित किया गया था, जिसने नीति आयोग, पीएमओ-भारत और कोयला मंत्रालय की पहल पर 10 करोड़ रुपये का अनुदान प्रदान किया था। / India’s first indigenously designed high ash coal gasification based methanol production plant was inaugurated at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) R&D Centre, Hyderabad. The project was funded by the Department of Science and Technology, which provided a grant of Rs 10 crore at the initiative of NITI Aayog, PMO-India and Ministry of Coal.

• बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा ने ‘बॉब वर्ल्ड’ नाम से अपना नया डिजिटल बैंकिंग प्लेटफॉर्म लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है। इस प्लेटफॉर्म का उद्देश्य एक ही छत के नीचे सभी बैंकिंग सेवाएं प्रदान करना है। प्लेटफ़ॉर्म का पायलट परीक्षण 23 अगस्त, 2021 को शुरू हुआ। 220 से अधिक सेवाओं को एक एकल ऐप में परिवर्तित किया जाएगा, जिसमें सभी खुदरा बैंकिंग सेवाओं का लगभग 95 प्रतिशत शामिल होगा, जिसे घरेलू और वैश्विक स्तर पर ग्राहकों द्वारा एक्सेस किया जा सकता है। / Bank of Baroda has announced the launch of its new digital banking platform named ‘Bob World’. The objective of this platform is to provide all banking services under one roof. Pilot testing of the platform began on August 23, 2021. More than 220 services will be converged into a single app, which will comprise about 95 per cent of all retail banking services, which can be accessed by customers both domestically and globally.

गुजरात सरकार ने दिसंबर 2022 तक अनिवासी गुजरातियों के साथ संयुक्त रूप से 1,000 करोड़ रुपये की सार्वजनिक कल्याण परियोजनाओं को शुरू करने की योजना तैयार करने की घोषणा की है। यह परियोजनाएं राज्य सरकार की ‘वतन प्रेम योजना’ के तहत होंगी। यह योजना गुजरात में सार्वजनिक और राज्य के योगदान के माध्यम से ग्रामीण विकास पर ध्यान केंद्रित करते हुए शुरू की गई थी।

The Gujarat government has announced a plan to jointly undertake public welfare projects worth Rs 1,000 crore with non-resident Gujaratis by December 2022. These projects will be under the ‘Watan Prem Yojana’ of the state government. The scheme was launched in Gujarat with a focus on rural development through public and state contributions.

The date 11 September has historical significance and due to this, the date was chosen as National Forest Martyrs Day. In 1730, on this day, over 360 people of the Bishnoi tribe led by Amrita Devi, objected to the felling of trees. Due to their protest of saving the trees, they were killed in Khejarli, Rajasthan on the orders of the king.

GS Pannu is presently the Vice-Chairman of ITAT based in New Delhi and will be the Acting Chairman of ITAT with effect from September 6, 2021 till the appointment of regular Chairman.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the NIRF India Rankings 2021 on September 09, 2021 through video conferencing. The NIRF India Rankings 2021 is the sixth edition of the annual list that ranks institutions of higher education in the country on the basis of objective criteria to promote competitive excellence. Best in Winner: Indian Institute of Technology Madras has retained its top position in the overall category.
