रेल मंत्रालय ने गुजरात के नर्मदा जिले में केवड़िया रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम बदलकर एकता नगर रेलवे स्टेशन करने को मंजूरी दे दी है। स्टैच्यू ऑफ यूनिटी का केवड़िया रेलवे स्टेशन वडोदरा डिवीजन के अंतर्गत आता है। एकता नगर रेलवे स्टेशन का स्टेशन कोड EKNR होगा। स्टेशन का न्यूमेरिकल कोड 08224620 होगा।

The Ministry of Railways has approved the renaming of Kevadiya railway station in Narmada district of Gujarat as Ekta Nagar railway station. Kevadiya railway station of Statue of Unity comes under Vadodara division. The station code of Ekta Nagar railway station will be EKNR. The numerical code of the station will be 08224620.

Fourteen-year old Bharath Subramaniyam became India’s 73rd chess Grandmaster, securing the third and final GM norm at an event in Italy. The Chennai-based player scored 6.5 points from nine rounds along with four others to finish seventh overall in the event held at Cattolica.

मणिपाल एकेडमी ऑफ हायर एजुकेशन के तहत कस्तूरबा मेडिकल कॉलेज में क्लिनिकल एम्ब्रियोलॉजी डिपार्टमेंट के प्रोफेसर डॉ सतीश अडिगा को इंडियन काउंसिल ऑफ मेडिकल रिसर्च ने राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार के लिए चुना है। इन-विट्रो फर्टिलाइजेशन (आईवीएफ) के क्षेत्र में उनके उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए उन्हें आईसीएमआर से डॉ सुभाष मुखर्जी पुरस्कार मिलेगा। उन्होंने क्लिनिकल आईवीएफ और फर्टिलिटी रिसर्च दोनों में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है।

Dr. Satish Adiga, Professor, Department of Clinical Embryology at Kasturba Medical College under Manipal Academy of Higher Education, has been selected for the National Award by the Indian Council of Medical Research. He will receive the Dr. Subhash Mukherjee Award from ICMR for his outstanding contribution in the field of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF). He has made significant contributions to both clinical IVF and fertility research.

The Forensic Science Laboratory won the Skoch Award in the Silver category for its work towards combating crime and violence against children. The award was given at the 78th SKOCH Summit. The theme of the summit was “State Governance”.

गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेंद्र पटेल को अगले पांच वर्षों के लिए “स्टूडेंट स्टार्ट-अप्स एंड इनोवेशन पॉलिसी 2.0” लॉन्च किया गया है। नीति में राज्य के सभी विश्वविद्यालयों में सक्रिय नवाचार और ऊष्मायन केंद्रों की स्थापना के प्रावधान शामिल हैं। नीति का लक्ष्य 1,000 उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों और नवाचार और उद्यमिता के 10,000 स्कूलों में 50 लाख छात्रों को शामिल करना है। नीति का उद्देश्य छात्रों द्वारा विकसित अवधारणाओं और प्रोटोटाइप के 10,000 प्रमाण और स्कूली बच्चों द्वारा विकसित अवधारणाओं के 1,000 प्रमाणों को सहायता देना भी है।

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has been launched “Student Start-ups and Innovation Policy 2.0” for the next five years. The policy includes provisions for setting up of active innovation and incubation centers in all the universities of the state. The policy aims to cover 50 lakh students in 1,000 higher education institutions and 10,000 schools of innovation and entrepreneurship. The policy also aims to support 10,000 proofs of concepts and prototypes developed by students and 1,000 proofs of concepts developed by school children.

The authorized biography of Tata Sons Emeritus Chairman, veteran industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata titled ‘Ratan N Tata: The Authorized Biography’ is set to hit the stands in November 2022. The biography is written by Dr. Thomas Mathew, a former senior bureaucrat and retired IAS officer. It will be published by HarperCollins. The book traces 84-year-old Ratan Tata’s childhood, college years and early influences among other things.

The Kerala Arts and Crafts Village Organization from Kovalam, Kerala has been awarded the ‘International Crafts Award for 2021’ for the world’s best crafts village by the World Crafts Council International. It is India’s only award received in the non-individual category. KACV was established by the Uralungal Labor Contract Cooperative Society for the State Tourism Department of Kerala. In 2021, the Village of the Year award was won by ‘Kraf Komuniti Ku’ in Malaysia.

The birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda also called Swami Vivekananda Jayanti is celebrated every year on 12 January. He was born on 12 January, 1863. The government had decided to observe it as National Youth Day because the philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals for which he lived and worked could be a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth. He had given a speech at the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago and glorified India’s name.
