अजय भूषण पांडे को 3 साल की अवधि के लिए राष्ट्रीय वित्तीय रिपोर्टिंग प्राधिकरण के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। 1984 बैच के महाराष्ट्र कैडर के आईएएस अधिकारी पांडेय पिछले साल फरवरी में राजस्व सचिव के पद से सेवानिवृत्त हुए थे।

Ajay Bhushan Pandey has been appointed as the Chairman of National Financial Reporting Authority for a period of 3 years. Pandey, a 1984-batch Maharashtra cadre IAS officer, had retired as revenue secretary in February last year.

Sahitya Akademi’s Festival of Letters known as Sahityotsav is India’s most inclusive literature festival. It is being held in New Delhi from 10th to 15th March 2022. This festival will be a part of the commemoration of India’s 75th anniversary of Independence. The events are themed on independence or the independence movement. There will be a specific corner at the Festival dedicated to displaying literature about India’s freedom movement as well as other items linked to the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The state government of Maharashtra has announced to set up the country’s first medical city ‘Indrayani Medicity’ in Pune to provide all types of specialized treatment under one roof. It will come up over 300 acres of land area in Khed Taluka of Pune. The project is estimated to attract an investment of over Rs 10,000 crore.

Writer Gitanjali Shree’s translated Hindi novel “Tomb of Sand” is one of the 13 long-listed books for the International Booker Prize. This is the first Hindi literary work to make it to the long list of prestigious literary awards. The book was originally published as ‘Rate Tombstone’ and translated into English by Daisy Rockwell. It will compete for the GBP 50,000 prize, which is split equally between the author and the translator.
