प्राकृतिक इतिहास संग्रहालय ने अपनी 57 वीं वार्षिक वन्यजीव फोटोग्राफर ऑफ द ईयर 2021 प्रतियोगिता के विजेताओं की घोषणा की है। संग्रहालय के संबंधित अधिकारियों ने 12 अक्टूबर को विजेताओं का खुलासा किया है। इस वर्ष, फ्रांसीसी अंडरवाटर फ़ोटोग्राफ़र और जीवविज्ञानी लॉरेंट बैलेस्टा ने एक वर्चुअल अवार्ड समारोह के दौरान वर्ष का नवीनतम वाइल्डलाइफ़ फ़ोटोग्राफ़र प्राप्त किया।

The Natural History Museum has declared the winners of its 57th annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021 competition. The concerned officials of the museum has revealed the winners on 12 October. This year, French underwater photographer and biologist Laurent Ballesta bagged the newest Wildlife Photographer of the Year during a virtual Awards ceremony.

India has slipped to the 101st position among 116 countries in the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2021 from its 2020 ranking (94), to be placed behind Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal. A total of 18 countries, including China, Kuwait and Brazil, shared the top rank with GHI score of less than five.

Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday announced the ‘Mera Ghar Mere Naam’ (my house in my name) scheme to give proprietary rights to people living in ‘lal dora’ of villages and towns for generations. The scheme, seen as populist as the state will go to the assembly elections in four months, is a rechristened version of the ‘Mission Lal Laqir’ , an extension of the central government’s Swamitav.

Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin has been recommended for emergency use in the 2-18 years age group by an expert panel. If it gets the final nod from the Drugs Controller General of India, it would be the second Covid-19 vaccine for children, the first being Zydus Cadila’s ZyCov-D. But it would be the first recommended for use in children as young as 2 years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched a national master plan for multi-modal connectivity to ensure integrated planning and implementation of infrastructure projects in the next four years, with focus on expediting works on the ground, saving costs and creating jobs. The online “holistic governance” system – PM Gati Shakti – aims to reduce logistics costs and boost the economy with a planned National Infrastructure Pipeline of over ₹111 lakh crore.

हरियाणा के गुरुग्राम में हेली हब बनाने की तैयारी है. यहां से हेलीकाप्टर न सिर्फ उड़ान भर सकेंगे बल्कि इसमें हेलीकाप्टर पार्किंग से लेकर मरम्मत व ईंधन भरवाने की सुविधा भी होगी. केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रलय ने इसकी मंजूरी दे दी है. इस हेली हब से गुरुग्राम शहर और शहर के बाहर दूसरे राज्यों के लिए भी हेलीकाप्टर अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार उड़ान भर सकेंगे. देशभर में पांच हेली हब बनाए जाने हैं. इनमें मुंबई के जुहू पर 20 से 25 हेलीकाप्टर एक साथ संचालित करने की क्षमता वाला हेली हब बनेगा तो गुरुग्राम में इसकी क्षमता 30 से 35 होगी.

Preparations are on to build a heli hub in Gurugram, Haryana. Helicopters will not only be able to fly from here, but there will also be facilities from helicopter parking to repair and refueling. The Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has given its approval. From this heli hub, helicopters will be able to fly to Gurugram city and other states outside the city as per their capacity. Five heli hubs are to be set up across the country. Of these, Juhu in Mumbai will become a heli hub with the capacity to operate 20 to 25 helicopters simultaneously, while in Gurugram its capacity will be 30 to 35.

Microsoft CEO and Indian-American Satya Nadella will be honored with the prestigious ‘CK Prahlad’ award this year for ‘Global Business Sustainability Leadership’. The award was instituted in 2010 at the request of the Corporate Eco Forum (CEF) to honor Indian-American Prahlad. Prahlad was a founding advisory board member of the forum.
