State Bank of India will set up an Innovation, Incubation and Acceleration Center in Hyderabad, Telangana, which will be operational within six to nine months of on-boarding of a consultant. This center will be the bank’s in-house capability to enhance its current performance and drive higher top-line growth through innovation. It will help the bank to develop a set of technologies, knowledge and skills for introduction of new products and services. It will act as a central body to govern and drive fin-tech partnerships and implement change across the bank.

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the Seven Storey Flight Control System Integration Facility at DRDO Laboratory Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The state-of-the-art complex was built using a record-breaking 45 days of in-house hybrid technology that included conventional, pre-engineered and precast methods. This technology was developed by DRDO in collaboration with M/s Larsen & Toubro (L&T).

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization has conducted a massive military exercise ‘Cold Response 2022’ in Norway from March 14, 2022 and will continue till April 01, 2022. The exercise is held in Norway every other year for NATO allies and partners. Cold response is a long-planned and defensive exercise where Norway and its allies practice to protect Norway from external threats. The exercises are planned and reported long before the war in Ukraine.

India has improved its rank by three places to be ranked 136th in the United Nations’ World Happiness Report for the year 2022, which ranks 146 countries. In 2021, India’s rank was 139. Finland has topped the 2022 World Happiness Report for the fifth year in a row. Afghanistan is ranked as the saddest country in the world at 146th position.

Flipkart Health+ announced the appointment of Prashant Jhaveri as its new CEO. He will be in charge of Flipkart’s entry into India’s fast-growing healthcare sector. Prior to joining Flipkart Health+, Jhaveri was the CEO of Apollo Health & Lifestyle Limited and MediBuddy. Earlier in his career, he worked with Medi Assist Group as Chief Business Officer.

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina has been honored with the prestigious ‘Sports Icon’ award at the Maldives Sports Awards 2022. The Maldivian government honored Raina for various achievements throughout his career. Raina was nominated along with 16 international players, including former Real Madrid player Roberto Carlos, Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell, former Sri Lanka captain and cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya and Dutch football legend Edgar Davids.
