Bank of Baroda has announced that it has secured #1 position in overall digital transactions among large banks for the financial year 2020-21. The bank showed exceptional growth in the achievement of digital payment transactions and was felicitated by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India at the Digital Payment Festival.

The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is set to launch the ambitious ‘free smartphone scheme’ on December 25, the birth anniversary of senior BJP leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Under this scheme, the state government will distribute smartphones and tablets to the final year students of graduation and above.

भारतीय ओलंपिक संघ ने आइस हॉकी एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया के महासचिव, हरजिंदर सिंह को बीजिंग में आगामी 2022 शीतकालीन ओलंपिक के लिए देश के दल के शेफ डी मिशन के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। सिंह 23 वें शीतकालीन ओलंपिक खेलों के लिए भी भारतीय दल के शेफ डी मिशन थे, जो 2018 में दक्षिण कोरिया के प्योंगचांग में आयोजित किया गया था।

The Indian Olympic Association has appointed Harjinder Singh, Secretary General, Ice Hockey Association of India, as the Chef de Mission of the country’s contingent for the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Singh was also the Chef de Mission of the Indian contingent for the 23rd Winter Olympic Games, which was held in Pyeongchang, South Korea in 2018.

ओडिशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने ओडिशा के कटक जिले में महानदी नदी पर बने राज्य के सबसे लंबे पुल ‘टी-सेतु’ का उद्घाटन किया। अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला ‘T’ के आकार में पुल का निर्माण 111 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से किया गया था। बड़म्बा में गोपीनाथपुर, बांकी में बैदेश्वर को कटक में सिंघनाथ पीठ से जोड़ने वाले 4 किमी लंबे पुल से बड़म्बा और बांकी बैदेश्वर के बीच की दूरी लगभग 45 किमी कम हो जाएगी।

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the state’s longest bridge ‘T-Setu’ over Mahanadi river in Cuttack district of Odisha. In the shape of English alphabet ‘T’ the bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 111 crore. The 4 km long bridge connecting Gopinathpur in Baramba, Baideshwar in Banki to Singhnath Peeth in Cuttack will reduce the distance between Baramba and Banki Baideshwar by about 45 km.

मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने सोमवार, 20 दिसंबर, 2021 को राज्य के दूरस्थ और पिछड़े क्षेत्रों के लोगों को स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए यहां बीजू पटनायक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डे पर मुख्यमंत्री वायु स्वास्थ्य सेवा (एयर एम्बुलेंस सेवा) का शुभारंभ किया। पहले चरण में चार जिलों मलकानगिरी, नबरंगपुर, कालाहांडी और नुआपाड़ा के लोगों के लिए मुफ्त सेवा उपलब्ध होगी. मुख्यमंत्री ने पहल की शुरुआत करते हुए कहा कि इन जिलों के लोगों को अब बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं मिलेंगी. इस योजना से समाज के कमजोर वर्गों के लोगों को लाभ होगा और स्वास्थ्य सेवाओं में अंतर को पाटना होगा।

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday, December 20, 2021, launched the Mukhyamantri Vayu Swasthya Seva (air ambulance service) at the Biju Patnaik International Airport here to provide health services to people of remote and backward areas of the State. In the first phase, the free service will be available for people of four districts Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Nuapada. Launching the initiative, the Chief Minister said that people of these districts will now get improved health services. The scheme will benefit people from weaker sections of the society and bridge the gap in healthcare services.

National Consumer Rights Day is observed on 24 December annually with a particular theme across the country. The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 had received the assent of the president on this day. No doubt it is considered a historic milestone in the consumer movement in the country. This day also provides awareness about consumer rights and responsibilities.
