केरल देश का पहला राज्य बनने के लिए तैयार है जो चयनित स्थानों में कार्बन-तटस्थ खेती के तरीके पेश करेगा, जिसके लिए सरकार ने 2022-23 के बजट में 6 करोड़ रुपये रखे हैं। पहले चरण में कृषि विभाग और आदिवासी क्षेत्रों के तहत 13 फार्मों में कार्बन-न्यूट्रल खेती लागू की जाएगी और अलुवा स्थित स्टेट सीड फार्म को कार्बन-न्यूट्रल फार्म में बदलने के लिए कदम उठाए जा रहे हैं। दूसरे चरण में सभी 140 विधानसभा क्षेत्रों में मॉडल कार्बन न्यूट्रल फार्म विकसित किए जाएंगे।

Kerala is set to become the first state in the country to introduce carbon-neutral farming methods in selected locations, for which the government has earmarked Rs 6 crore in the 2022-23 budget. In the first phase carbon-neutral farming will be implemented in 13 farms under Agriculture Department and tribal areas and steps are being taken to convert the State Seed Farm at Aluva into a carbon-neutral farm. In the second phase, model carbon neutral farms will be developed in all 140 assembly constituencies.

Australian female tennis player Ashleigh Barty has announced her retirement from tennis at the age of 25. He has won three Grand Slam singles titles – French Open in 2019, Wimbledon in 2021 and Australian Open in 2022. Apart from playing tennis, he has also played semi-professional cricket during his break from tennis between 2014-2016.

नॉर्वेजियन एकेडमी ऑफ साइंस एंड लेटर्स ने अमेरिकी गणितज्ञ डेनिस पार्नेल सुलिवन को वर्ष 2022 के लिए एबेल पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया है। प्रशस्ति पत्र में उल्लेख किया गया है – यह पुरस्कार “टोपोलॉजी में उनके व्यापक योगदान, और विशेष रूप से इसके बीजगणितीय, ज्यामितीय और गतिशील पहलुओं में’ के लिए दिया गया है।”

The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters has honored American mathematician Dennis Parnell Sullivan with the Abel Prize for the year 2022. The citation noted – the award is given for “his wide-ranging contribution to topology, and in particular its algebraic, geometric and dynamical aspects”.

देवेन्द्र झाझड़िया पद्म भूषण पुरस्कार पाने वाले पहले पैरा-एथलीट बने। उन्होंने एथेंस और 2016 रियो खेलों में 2004 पैरालिंपिक में स्वर्ण और 2020 टोक्यो ओलंपिक में एक रजत पदक सहित कई पैरालंपिक पदक जीते हैं। अवनि लेखरा (पैरा-शूटर) को भी खेल श्रेणी में पद्म श्री पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। वह एक ही खेलों में दो पैरालंपिक पदक जीतने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला हैं, साथ ही पैरालंपिक स्वर्ण अर्जित करने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला हैं।

Devendra Jhajharia became the first para-athlete to receive the Padma Bhushan award. He has won several Paralympic medals including gold at the 2004 Paralympics in Athens and 2016 Rio Games and a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Avani Lekhra (Para-shooter) was also awarded the Padma Shri award in the Sports category. She is the first Indian woman to win two Paralympic medals in the same Games, as well as the first Indian woman to earn Paralympic gold.

A book titled “Unfilled Barrels: India’s oil story” by Richa Mishra will be released soon. Richa Mishra is a journalist for The Hindu Businessline. The book highlights the important role played by Keshav Dev Malviya, who was the petroleum minister in the 1970s with a degree in oil technology, and from public sector enterprises including ONGC to private competitors such as Cairn Energy and Mukesh Ambani’s RIL. Highlights the emergence of other stakeholders for the players.

ऑटिज्म से पीड़ित 13 साल की बच्ची ने 13 घंटे में 28.5 किलोमीटर तैरकर इतिहास रच दिया। एक भारतीय पैरा-तैराकी जिया राय ने श्रीलंका के तलाईमन्नार के पाक जलडमरूमध्य से तैरना शुरू किया और 13 घंटे में वह धनुषकोडी, तमिलनाडु में अरिचलमुनै पहुंच गईं।

A 13-year-old girl with autism created history by swimming 28.5 kilometres in 13 hours. Jiya Rai, an Indian para-swimmer, started swimming from Palk Strait, Talaimannar in Sri Lanka and in 13 hours she reached Arichalmunai in Dhanushkodi, Tamil Nadu.

यह 25 मार्च को मनाया जाता है। यह अजन्मे भ्रूणों का वार्षिक स्मरणोत्सव है और इसे गर्भपात के विरोध के दिन के रूप में मनाया जाता है।
