अभय कुमार सिंह को सहकारिता मंत्रालय में संयुक्त सचिव नियुक्त किया गया है। इस मंत्रालय का गठन हाल ही में देश में सहकारिता आंदोलन को मजबूत करने के उद्देश्य से किया गया था। अभय कुमार सिंह की नियुक्ति को पीएम मोदी की अध्यक्षता वाली कैबिनेट की नियुक्ति समिति ने मंजूरी दे दी है।

Abhay Kumar Singh has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation. This ministry was formed recently with the aim of strengthening the cooperative movement in the country. The appointment of Abhay Kumar Singh has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by PM Modi.

विदेश मंत्रालय ने युद्धग्रस्त अफगानिस्तान से अपने नागरिकों को निकालने के भारत के जटिल मिशन को ‘ऑपरेशन देवी शक्ति’ नाम दिया है। ऑपरेशन का नाम तब पता चला जब विदेश मंत्री एस. जयशंकर ने 24 अगस्त को दिल्ली में 78 लोगों के एक नए जत्थे के आने का जिक्र करते हुए एक ट्वीट में इसका जिक्र किया।

The Ministry of External Affairs has named India’s complex mission to evacuate its citizens from war-torn Afghanistan as ‘Operation Devi Shakti’. The name of the operation came to light when External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar mentioned this in a tweet on August 24, referring to the arrival of a new batch of 78 people in Delhi.

इकोनॉमिस्ट इंटेलिजेंस यूनिट द्वारा जारी सेफ सिटीज इंडेक्स 2021 में डेनमार्क की राजधानी कोपेनहैगन को 60 वैश्विक शहरों में से दुनिया के सबसे सुरक्षित शहर के रूप में नामित किया गया है। EIU के द्विवार्षिक सूचकांक के चौथे संस्करण में शीर्ष पर पहुंचने के लिए कोपेनहैगन ने 100 में से 82.4 अंक हासिल किए, जो शहरी सुरक्षा के स्तर को मापता है। यांगून 39.5 के स्कोर के साथ सबसे कम सुरक्षित शहर के रूप में सूचकांक में सबसे नीचे है।

The Danish capital Copenhagen has been named as the safest city in the world out of 60 global cities in the Safe Cities Index 2021 released by the Economist Intelligence Unit. Copenhagen scored 82.4 out of 100 to top the fourth edition of the EIU’s biennial index, which measures the level of urban security. Yangon is at the bottom of the index as the least safe city with a score of 39.5.

Princepal Singh became the first Indian to be part of an NBA title-winning team when his team Sacramento Kings won the 2021 NBA Summer League crown. The 6-foot-9 forward made history by becoming the first Indian to be part of the championship roster at any level of the NBA. The Kings dominated the championship game against the Boston Celtics, winning the title with a 100–67 victory.

The 82-year-old Hakim was popular with ‘Saab’. In his over five-decade association with Indian football, Hakim, a Dronacharya Award winner, has also been the assistant coach to the late PK Banerjee during the 1982 Asian Games in Delhi.

A former Squadron Leader of the Indian Air Force, Hakim was also a Regional Director of the Sports Authority of India and his last assignment was as Project Director in charge of Scouting ahead of the 2017 Under-17 FIFA World Cup.

Venkaiah Naidu launched ‘Vaccinate India Progamme’ organised by Give India Foundation and Sustainable Goals Coordination Centre, Bengaluru, under CSR in association with Planning Department of the Karnataka government, at Raj Bhavan in Bengaluru on August 24.
• कार्यक्रम में प्रतीकात्मक संकेत के रूप में दो महिलाओं का टीकाकरण किया गया। श्री नायडू ने लोगों से महामारी के प्रसार को रोकने के लिए COVID-19 मानदंडों का सख्ती से पालन करने की अपील की। उन्होंने लोगों से जंक फूड का सेवन न करने और पारंपरिक भारतीय भोजन का सेवन करने का भी आग्रह किया। / As a symbolic gesture, two women were vaccinated at the programme. Mr. Naidu appealed to people to strictly follow COVID-19 norms for curbing the spread of the pandemic. He also urged people not to consume junk food and consume traditional Indian food.
