महाराष्ट्र के पर्यटन और पर्यावरण मंत्री, आदित्य ठाकरे ने बृहन्मुंबई इलेक्ट्रिक सप्लाई एंड ट्रांसपोर्ट बस टिकटों की डिजिटल और अग्रिम खरीद की सुविधा के लिए चलो मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन (ऐप) और चलो स्मार्ट कार्ड लॉन्च किए हैं। उन्होंने यात्रियों के लिए बेस्ट के एनसीएमसी अनुरूप स्मार्ट कार्ड के साथ-साथ नई किराया योजनाओं का भी शुभारंभ किया, जिसमें से एक ने 70 रुपये में 10 ट्रिप प्रदान किए और दूसरे को ‘फ्लेक्सीफेयर’ कहा गया।

Maharashtra’s Minister of Tourism and Environment, Aaditya Thackeray has launched Chalo Mobile Application (App) and Chalo Smart Card to facilitate digital and advance purchase of Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport bus tickets. He also launched BEST’s NCMC compliant smart card as well as new fare schemes for travelers, one offering 10 trips for Rs 70 and the other called ‘Flexifre’.

Indian teenager Anahata Singh has created history by winning the Under-15 girls category of the prestigious Junior US Open squash tournament in Philadelphia. The 13-year-old girl from Delhi defeated Zayda Marei of Egypt 11-9, 11-5, 8-11, 11-5 in the final match played at the Arlen Spector Centre. More than 850 squash junior players representing 41 countries participated in the world’s largest junior individual squash tournament.

India successfully conducted the first flight test of indigenously developed, surface-to-surface missile ‘Pralaya’ off the Odisha coast. The solid-fuel, battlefield missile developed by the Defense Research Development Organization is based on the Prithvi defense vehicle from the Indian ballistic missile program. The missile was launched from APJ Abdul Kalam Island.

The Jharkhand Assembly has passed the Mob Violence and Mob Lynching Bill, 2021, which aims to provide “effective protection” of constitutional rights and prevent mob violence in the state. After incorporating an amendment, the Bill was passed and sent to the Governor for his assent. Once notified, Jharkhand will become the fourth state after West Bengal, Rajasthan and Manipur to bring in such a law.
