A life-size statue of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar will be unveiled at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, ahead of the World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka. The statue depicts Tendulkar in motion, playing a stroke, and will be placed next to the Sachin Tendulkar Stand. President Amol Kale, Secretary Ajinkya Naik and other members of the Apex Council will also be present in this function. Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) said it has marked an important milestone with the establishment of South Asia’s first-of-its-kind Aircraft Recovery Training School on the premises of the Kempegowda International Airport here. It said the newly established institute is dedicated to providing specialized aircraft recovery practical training fully equipped with state-of-the-art Disabled Aircraft Recovery Equipment (DARE).
