Rashmi Govil will be the new Director (Human Resources) of public sector Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). As per the notification of the government employer Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), his name has been recommended for this post. The notification said that PESB interviewed a total of 11 candidates, including five IOC officials, for the post and then appointed Rashmi Govil. He is currently the Executive Director (HRD & ER) in IOC.

Punjab has become the first Indian state to comprehensively map all 784 accident-prone areas as ‘black spots’ on the navigation system Maples app. This announcement has been made by Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on January 1, 2024. The navigation system is developed by Maples App, MapMyIndia. This initiative has been launched as part of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s flagship project, ‘Road Safety Force’.

The US Department of Energy has discovered the world’s largest lithium reserves beneath the Salton Sea in California. In which estimated reserves of 18 million tonnes of lithium are present. Total reserves discovered in the Salton Sea area could produce more than 3,400 kilotonnes of lithium, worth up to $540 billion. It has the capacity to manufacture more than 375 million batteries for electric vehicles (EVs).

President Draupadi Murmu has nominated Justice Sanjiv Khanna, the second senior-most judge of the Supreme Court, as the acting Chairman of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA). According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, his nomination to this post will be effective from December 26, 2023. As per tradition, the second senior most judge of the Supreme Court is nominated to the post of acting Chairman of NALSA. Earlier, this post was held by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul.

व्याख्या:- रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने वृंदावन में पहले बालिका सैनिक स्कूल का उद्घाटन किया। इसके बाद उन्होंने यहां उपस्थित लोगों को संबोधित भी किया। अपने संबोधन के दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि यह स्कूल निश्चित रूप से आसपास के क्षेत्र में सेना में शामिल होने की इच्छा रखने वाली यहां की बालिकाओं के लिए प्रकाश स्तंभ के रूप में कार्य करेगा। रक्षा मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, संविद गुरुकुलम सैनिक स्कूल में 870 छात्राओं को शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया जाएगा।
