Ordnance Construction Day is observed every year on 18 March. India’s oldest Ordnance Factory, which is at Cossipore, Kolkata, started production on March 18, 1802. OFB is the 37th largest defense equipment manufacturer in the world, the second largest in Asia and the largest in India. Ordnance Manufacturing Day is celebrated by displaying rifles, guns, artillery, ammunition etc. in exhibitions all over India.
व्याख्या:- आयुध निर्माण दिवस हर साल 18 मार्च को मनाया जाता है। भारत की सबसे पुरानी आयुध निर्माणी, जो कोलकाता के कोसीपोर में है, का उत्पादन 18 मार्च, 1802 को शुरू हुआ था। OFB दुनिया का 37 वां सबसे बड़ा, एशिया में दूसरा सबसे बड़ा और भारत में सबसे बड़ा रक्षा उपकरण निर्माता है। आयुध निर्माण दिवस पूरे भारत में प्रदर्शनियों में राइफल, बंदूकें, तोपखाने, गोला-बारूद आदि को प्रदर्शित करके मनाया जाता है।
