Bharat Drone Shakti is being organized on 25 and 26 September 2023 at Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad. It is being done jointly by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Drone Federation of India (DFI). The Indian drone industry will witness over 50 live aerial demonstrations over these two days. It will feature survey drones, agricultural drones, fire suppression drones, tactical surveillance drones, heavy-lift logistics drones, demonstrations of loitering munition systems, drone clusters and counter-drones, as well as participation from over 75 drone start-ups and corporates.

Japan has successfully launched its lunar exploration spacecraft, known as the “Moon Sniper”, using the domestically developed H-IIA rocket. The achievement puts Japan in contention to become the world’s fifth country to land on the moon, with the landing planned for early next year. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) said the rocket’s launch from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan went as scheduled. It also successfully deployed the lunar lander, Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM).

Famous Hindustani classical singer and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award winner Malini Rajurkar passed away on 6 September 2023 in Hyderabad due to age related ailments. She was 82 years old. Malini Rajurkar was born in 1941 in Ajmer, Rajasthan. She took music lessons from Ajmer Music College under the guidance of Govindrao Rajurkar and his nephew Vasantrao Rajurkar, who later became her husband. She was an exponent of the Gwalior Gharana as well as one of the leading singers of ‘Khayal’ and ‘Tappa’ styles.

Hitachi Payment Services has launched it in collaboration with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Through this, customers can withdraw cash through UPI without debit or credit card. Some time ago, RBI had issued a circular informing about providing cash withdrawal facility through UPI.

The world’s tallest Nataraja statue has been installed at the Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the G-20 Summit in Delhi. This idol made of ashta dhatu is 28 feet tall and weighs 20 tonnes. Sculptor Radhakrishnan Stapathy and his team at Swamimalai in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu took a record time of seven months. This statue was brought to Delhi in four days and a special corridor was prepared to bring it.
