ONGC has started oil production from its flagship deepwater project in the Krishna Godavari basin in the Bay of Bengal. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that 45 thousand barrels of oil per day and more than 10 million standard cubic meters of gas per day are expected to be produced. The project is expected to increase the current national oil production by 7 percent and national natural gas production by 7 percent.

Pravasi Bharatiya Divas or NRI Day is formally celebrated on 9 January to commemorate the day when Mahatma Gandhi returned from South Africa to Mumbai, India. This day is celebrated to acknowledge the contribution of the Non-Resident Indian community in helping in the development of the country. Pravasi Bharatiya Divas aims to give a platform to NRIs to discuss their outlook towards India and build bridges of goodwill with their fellow citizens.

व्याख्या:- पर्यटन मंत्रालय ने अमृत धरोहर क्षमता निर्माण योजना के अंतर्गत ओडिशा में रामसर स्थल चिल्का झील पर एक प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया। इस पहल के अंतर्गत 15-15 दिनों के दो प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम वैकल्पिक आजीविका कार्यक्रम (एएलपी) और पर्यटन नाविक प्रमाणपत्र (पीएनसी) आयोजित किए जाएंगे। इस कार्यक्रम के पहले फेज में, पांच प्राथमिकता वाले रामसर स्थलों- सुल्तानपुर राष्ट्रीय उद्यान, सिरपुर वेटलैंड, यशवंत सागर, भितरकनिका राष्ट्रीय उद्यान और चिल्का झील को शामिल किया गया है।
Ministry of Tourism organized a training program on Ramsar site Chilka Lake in Odisha under Amrit Heritage Capacity Building Scheme. Under this initiative, two training programs of 15 days each, Alternative Livelihood Program (ALP) and Tourism Seafarer Certificate (PNC) will be organized. In the first phase of this programme, five priority Ramsar sites – Sultanpur National Park, Sirpur Wetland, Yashwant Sagar, Bhitarkanika National Park and Chilka Lake have been included.
