The assault rifle ‘Ugram’, jointly developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and a private firm, was launched on Monday. It was made in DRDO’s Pune-based laboratory Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE). Launched by Dr SV Gade, Director General (Armament and Combat Engineering Cluster) in the presence of ARDE Director A Raju.

The Chief Minister launched the ‘College Phagathansi Mission’ to improve government colleges in the state at a function held at Moirang College. The Chief Minister said that a total of 24 colleges have been taken under the mission and facilities will be developed in each college at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.

The app-based electric bike taxi service was flagged off by Assam Transport Minister Parimal Suklabaidya in the state capital Guwahati. India’s first app-based 100 percent electric and decentralized bike taxi service, Bayu, is an initiative of ASTC in collaboration with Assam-based startup company, ushering in a new era of eco-friendly zero-emission transportation solutions.

व्याख्या:- हर साल 11 जनवरी को राष्ट्रीय मानव तस्करी जागरूकता दिवस (National Human Trafficking Awareness Day) के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन मानव तस्करी के बारे में जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए है। इस दिन का उद्देश्य मानव तस्करी पीड़ितों की दुर्दशा के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाना और उनके अधिकारों को बढ़ावा देना और उनकी रक्षा करना है। हालांकि जनवरी के पूरे महीने को पहले ही राष्ट्रीय दासता और मानव तस्करी रोकथाम माह के रूप में मान्यता दी जा चुकी है, यह दिन विशेष रूप से जागरूकता और अवैध अभ्यास की रोकथाम के लिए समर्पित है।
Every year January 11 is celebrated as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. This day is to create awareness about human trafficking. The day aims to raise awareness of the plight of human trafficking victims and promote and protect their rights. Although the entire month of January is already recognized as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month, this day is specifically dedicated to awareness and prevention of the illegal practice.

व्याख्या:- श्रीलंका के शिक्षा मंत्री डॉ. सुशील प्रेमजयंता ने कहा है कि श्रीलंका के कैंडी में आईआईटी मद्रास का नया कैंपस शुरू किया जाएगा। यह प्रस्ताव श्रीलंका के राष्ट्रपति रानिल विक्रमसिंघे द्वारा वित्त मंत्री के रूप में पेश किए गए बजट 2024 का हिस्सा था। इससे पहले आईआईटी-मद्रास ने नवम्बर 2023 में तंजानिया में अपना एक कैंपस शुरू किया था।
Sri Lankan Education Minister Dr. Sushil Premjayanta has said that a new campus of IIT Madras will be started in Kandy, Sri Lanka. The proposal was part of the Budget 2024 presented by Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe as Finance Minister. Earlier, IIT-Madras had started its campus in Tanzania in November 2023.
