China has inaugurated its newest Antarctic research station, the Qianling Facility, located on Inexpressible Island in the Ross Sea. It is China’s fifth research station in Antarctica and reflects its commitment to advancing scientific exploration in the region. The Qianling Station is set to operate year-round, accommodating a team of 80 researchers and support staff.
