Consumer rights activist and former Vice-Principal of Cotton University Deven Dutta passed away at the age of 81. Born on April 5, 1944 in Nazira, Sivasagar, Deven Dutta lived in Sundarpur area of Guwahati. He completed his post graduation in English in the year 1965 and started his career as Professor of English at Cotton College. He was also a noted litterateur and columnist.

Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh inaugurated the School Education Department’s Continuous Learning Access Project (CLAP) at Raj Bhavan in Dehradun, under which children will be able to access the latest knowledge through e-learning vehicle. Along with this, the Governor flagged off the mobile e-learning vehicle under this project. This vehicle will provide ‘digital content’ in online and offline mode to students from primary to class-12 in government schools in remote rural areas.
