Shares of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) rose by more than 2% in morning trade on Wednesday, taking the market cap of the state-run insurer crossing the Rs 5.8 lakh crore mark. The company’s shares touched a 52-week high of Rs 919.45 per share. SBI shares were seen trading with a weakness of 1% on BSE. Its market cap was around Rs 5.62 lakh crore. LIC share prices have increased by more than 50 percent since the beginning of November.
